Customer Information Request

To comply with the Housing Act 1985 and Data Protection Act 1998, Irwell Valley residents have a right to view personal information we may hold about them or their family - either on computer or in manual files.

They are entitled to know:

  • details of the source of the data
  • to whom the data has been disclosed or may be disclosed
  • the purpose for which the information is being held
Residents also have the opportunity to review and up-date any personal data on an annual basis.

As a resident of Irwell Valley, if you would like to view any information held about you, you need to make a ‘subject access request’ in writing to the Data Controller (for Irwell Valley this is the AD – Policy & Corporate Services), or by completing the form below.

Before making an information request, please read the following:
  • Check the rest of our website and check other publications to make sure that we don’t publish it anywhere else
  • Writeyour request in plain and simple language
  • Please ask for specific documents or information, as service is not suitable for general enquiries
  • Please keep your request simple and you will be more likely to receive the information you have requested
